After a dozen years of staging musicals at Cohoes Music Hall, C-R Productions is closing the curtain on its main-stage shows to focus on its performing arts school and youth performances. Marking the end of one era and the beginning of another are two concerts to say goodbye on April 25-26.
I was able to call Cohoes Music Halls stage home for two very special productions of Five Guys Named Moe and My One and Only. During that time I met a motley crew of actors, singers, dancers, techies, designers and theater patrons who enriched my experience beyond belief. I am thrilled that the producers value my contributions to their productions and super excited to celebrate in tribute this weekend.
C-R Production’s Farewell Concert at Cohoes Music Hall will take place over two days at the historic hall, 58 Remsen St., Cohoes. It’s a reunion, a farewell, a new beginning for the Capital Region’s professional music theater, founded in 2002 by Jim Charles and Tony Rivera. All proceeds benefit C-R Kids Arts Programming. On Saturday, April 25, the performance is at 8 p.m. A cocktail reception begins at 6:30 p.m. On Sunday, April 26, the performance is at 3 p.m. A cocktail reception follows the performance at 3 p.m.
I am honored to be apart of this monumental reunion, farewell and new beginning. After all, its the least I can do for a place that has blessed me so tremendously. I will never forget my time there, the lessons learned and the rich opportunity to do what I love to do- entertain.
