Stewart will direct and choreograph the NJ regional premier of SIMPLY SIMONE: The Music of Nina Simone. The musical revue will feature five actresses and a live band in celebration of the high priestess of soul - Nina Simone. The event is part of the Black History Month Celebration for the Township of Union, New Jersey. The production is made possible by support from the Cultural Arts Committee, Township Committee and Accurate Tax and Financials.

Award winning performing artist, playwright and performer Daryl Stewart indomitably takes the stage as a colorful melange of familiar characters in Fully Versatile, a powerful, poignant, personal and poetic solo play that glimpses into Stewart's journey & identity as an artist and individual. 

Jam packed with Stewart's original autobiographical poems and personal essays, Fully Versatile effortlessly ushers audiences on a moving, life affirming and versatile theatrical experience through story, prose, poetry, rap, song and spoken word. Themes include adolescence, identity, sexuality and spirituality.


The solo show premiered as a work-in-progress at Off-Broadway in NYC. The piece is developed and directed by Walter Kemp. Produced by Miller Street Productions (Stewart) & Maxine Lyle. Recommended for mature audiences.
